Voice of Rajinikanth - S.P.B’s voice is considered as the best voice for Rajinikanth and most of S.P.B’s Songs for Rajinikanth were super hits. Though S.P.B. had sung songs for Rajini as in Velaikaran, Dharma Durai and Rajathi Raja, it was after Annamalai S.P.B. was given the chance to sing all opening songs for Rajinikanth. The song involving this pair, Oruvan Oruvan Mudhalali is still a song too hard to resist for hearing. In Rajini’s recent hit Chandramukhi S.P.B. had sung two songs, Devuda and Athindhom.

Malaysia Vasudevan was the main singer for Rajinikanth in Rajini’s earlier part of his career. His song Manithan Manithan was a mega hit and his other hits include Solli Adipenadi from Padikadhavan and Ennoda Raasi from Mappilai. The best hit song in this combination is Aasai Nooruvagai from the movie Adutha Vaarisu and is still a memorable one. Not to forget the song Pothuvaaga En Manasu from the movie Murattu kalai . But, Malaysia Vasudevan lost the race to S.P.B. in later part of Rajini’s career.
